Siemens Gamesa praises Silta for their efficient payroll outsourcing and strong customer service.
In October 2019, Siemens Gamesa, a leader in renewable energy solutions, entered into a three-year payroll outsourcing agreement with Silta. The HR department at Siemens Gamesa was already familiar with Silta, eliminating the need for a competitive tender process.
“Silta was our top choice from the very beginning. We wanted to continue our payroll outsourcing partnership with them. Silta had a deep understanding of Siemens’ operational environment and collective agreements,” explains Madeleine Svensson, former HR Director for the Nordic countries at Siemens, who now serves as an HR consultant for Siemens Gamesa.
Siemens Gamesa successfully implemented Silta’s payroll system at the start of October 2019, with preparations completed in just a couple of months. This collaboration highlights the benefits of partnering with an experienced payroll service provider to enhance operational efficiency and streamline HR processes.
The Benefits of Payroll Outsourcing
Siemens Gamesa reaped numerous advantages by outsourcing its payroll operations to Silta, as noted by Svensson.
“Payroll is not our core business. Silta, as an expert service provider, understands the intricacies of payroll management thoroughly. They handle the payroll systems and updates while meticulously monitoring labor laws and collective agreements. Having a reliable partner instills a sense of security.”
Silta's system is also well-suited for smaller organizations.
“When we began our partnership, we had only 25 employees, but we anticipated growth due to a company merger. Now, our team has expanded to 55. Although we didn't have an advanced payroll system at the time, we managed effectively. Both parties aimed to simplify processes and maintain efficiency. In early April 2021, Siemens transitioned to a global provider, and our collaboration lasted only half of the initially agreed timeframe.”
“This decision was made internally, affecting the entire corporation worldwide,” emphasizes Svensson.
Even during the transition phase, as payroll was handed over to a new provider, Silta’s employees demonstrated a commitment to service excellence, according to Svensson.
Praise for Finnish Work Ethic
“I’m not sure if this is characteristic of Finnish culture, but Silta has operated with remarkable efficiency and straightforwardness compared to Swedish companies. I truly appreciate the Finnish work ethic,” Svensson remarks.
Svensson also highlights Silta’s strong customer-centric approach.
“We have consistently received quick responses to our inquiries, without the frustrating delays that can often stretch on for months.”
“It’s bittersweet to part ways with Silta, as I have come to trust their employees completely,” Svensson concludes.
